Loyola Schools Back to Campus Bulletin 1

Ateneo Loyola Schools to gradually return to onsite classes starting January 2022

The Loyola Schools will gradually return to onsite classes starting with a pilot phase in the Second Semester of School Year 2021-2022.

For the pilot phase starting in January 2022, most classes will remain online while the courses/sections listed below will follow a flex model of blended learning. Under a flex model, students will have the option to participate in the onsite activities or remain online. Students in one class are divided into groups, each participating alternately onsite or online according to designated schedules. Note that only fully vaccinated students will be allowed to participate in onsite activities.

More details are forthcoming about the specific courses and sections as well as the frequency of onsite classes. In general, onsite activities for particular batches of students will take place on alternate weeks.

Outside of classes, students at all levels may be allowed to visit the campus for academic activities such as use of the Rizal Library; teacher consultation; counseling and psychological services; and the use of laboratories for thesis, dissertation and capstone purposes. They need to use the standard Campus Access Request form and Health Declaration form for this purpose.

In accordance with the draft CHED Joint Memorandum Circular on Pilot Implementation of Onsite Classes, co- and extra-curricular activities (with the exception of athletic training conducted in the context of a bubble), will not be allowed onsite.

Safety and health protocols have been designed for those who will participate in onsite classes. Everyone is enjoined to observe these protocols. All employees and guests entering the Loyola Campus should be fully vaccinated or undergo the appropriate COVID-19 testing to be required by government regulations.

As the pandemic situation remains uncertain, all plans are subject to change depending on the circumstances and new directives issued by the IATF, CHED, DOH, DOLE, the Quezon City local government, and other pertinent government agencies.

More details will be provided during the Loyola Schools Town Hall Meeting on Friday, 10 December 2021, at 4 pm.
