Re: Notice of Cessation of Operations of Ateneo Molecular Pathology Laboratory (AMPLify) and Blue Swab Swabbing Center

We regret to inform you that Ateneo Molecular Pathology Laboratory (AMPLify) and Blue Swab will be ceasing its operations effective on July 31, 2022. To give way for the turn-over of the facilities as well as processing of documents, the laboratory and swabbing center will no longer be accepting samples for testing from all clients beyond July 22, 2022.

AMPLify and Blue Swab were initially established in response to the government’s call for more diagnostic facilities that can help in its fight against the pandemic. But with the dwindling demand for RT-PCR testing, the wide acceptance of antigen testing and increasing number of vaccinated people, the administration made the hard decision of stopping the operations.

We would like to thank you all for your continued patronage to our RT-PCR testing service for the past year. It has been our pleasure to serve everyone most especially the Ateneo Community. We are hoping that alongside our closure is also the continuous drop of COVID-19 cases in the country.
